That sounds like a great trip and just what you needed. Bruce William’s work looks really interesting as do the boat exhibits in the cathedral … they challenge perceptions and I think probably Becket might have approved of that.

The boats in the cathedral were especially moving. I think maybe because they seemed so fragile and vulnerable

What a great visit! Although it doesn't feel like there was much 'down-time'!

😂 I feel as though I have been found out! I do struggle with down time although to be fair it wasn’t quite as full on as it sounds. A lot of strolling and looking at art was quite relaxing

You don’t do things by halves, do you! I’m very impressed by just how much art you were able to experience in such a short time. I also had a post-exams school trip to the seaside: Brighton, but surprisingly for me, didn’t swim in the sea. I’m not sure what we did, other than skulk around the pier being teenagers!

You know me! 😂 It was mostly unplanned except for the trip to the Turner gallery. Finding out it was EK open houses was a bonus. Now if I could only translate this inspiration into studio time…

I love both the pieces you came home with Gina, the colours are fabulous. I hope you are having a more settled week and are finding some time to paint. x
