I have loved reading about your Italian experience and look forward to the next part. It's great that this trip has encouraged you to explore writing more, you are already very good at it. Thanks for sharing so much with us.

Thank you Fiona, that is very kind. My challenge is setting aside the time to do it.

It has been wonderful to read about your experiences in Italy. I love hearing about it all! Thank you so much for sharing your stories. You write so well, so natural, it is like hearing your voice. The details and descriptions are so vivid and always interesting. My husband and I aren’t able to take holidays at the moment as our beloved Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is nearly 16 and is on so much medication, cannot see much and doesn’t like to be on her own. We couldn’t leave her as she is so dependent on us, especially my husband. One day we will be able to travel again but until then your writing is much appreciated. Ju x

Julia, thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely comment. It meant a lot to me. I hope you get to enjoy travelling together again but meanwhile enjoy every moment with your beautiful dog. They are always so much part of the family

That glass bridge in the well - nooooo!

That was exactly the reaction of my companion! She wouldn’t go near the glass bridge (and to be fair she didn’t miss much)

In German Duolingo it’s lions and sheep…

I had a hot chocolate a bit like that just once before, in Barcelona - liquid chocolate in a cup! Never forgotten.

That chocolate was like nothing I’d ever had before!

Thank you for your research about Perugia. I had already forgotten some of the history, but your vivid descriptions brought it all back. I enjoyed tasting Baci chocolates and the mini tram ride to the top of the hill (no smelly armpits for me)! Your writing is beautiful Gina.
