Gina, I loved riding along with you and your amazing son Sam. He sounds very much like you, his creative mother! If I could come tour your art show I certainly would. Please post pictures for all of us who follow you. 😊
Sam is also a writer of humorous fiction! I’m might do a quick video tour of my Open Studio if I get the time. At the moment I’m at the stage of making more mess than I started with as I try to clear stuff out!
I certainly wouldn’t have paid the going rate for a punt! The ostentatious display of wealth at these things can be a tad uncomfortable to say the least… but it was a fun experience
Dear Gina thank you so much for taking the time to write another delightful piece. I loved reading about Cambridge and the amazing fireworks display, and seeing the short video. As always you bring things to life with your excellent descriptive prose. I would love to come to your open studio and meet you in person but I’m not sure if I can manage to get there, but I will try! Sending love and best wishes from a very warm Woolverstone on the Shotley Peninsula near Ipswich by the river Orwell. Ju xxx

What a unique and cool experience! Thanks, Gina!
It was certainly a lot of fun!
What an amazing job that Sam has, and I love that you were able to have such prime seats! Enjoy your art show, I wish I could be there to see it!!
Yes, he doesn’t work on the punts any more but is now a gardener at one of the colleges but he did for about 10 years.
I’d love it if you were close enough to come and visit. I’m thinking of doing a video tour if I ever get tidied up!
I love the idea of Open Studios and wish I could dash off for a slow visit.
Wouldn’t that be wonderful to have you visit… and then you could stay for the whole week!
Lucky you to have 'connections'!

Wish I could be there for your Open Studio tours. Alas, it's much too far away and across the ocean. Hope it all goes splendidly.
I have to agree that across the ocean is probably a little too far, but thank you. I’m hoping to film a virtual tour!
Looks amazing. Wish I lived near enough to visit
That would be lovely!

Thank you so much Julia. If you do manage to come please do say who you are and introduce yourself x
What an unforgettable evening with family! Fireworks over water seems to magnify their effect.
I’m not always a great fan of fireworks but these really were spectacular!
